Position Summary

Full-time, exempt professional responsible for leading fundraising, marketing, and development efforts to increase revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and promote the organization's mission. Oversees strategic planning, budgeting, grants, communications, community outreach, special events, and Board development. Supervises the Grants Manager, Development & Marketing Specialist, and Philanthropy Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Fundraising and Revenue Development

  • Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies, campaigns, and events to increase revenue and community engagement.
  • Identify and expand donor opportunities, including individual, corporate, foundation, and government funding sources.
  • Oversee grant planning, submission, and management activities.
  • Collaborate with development staff to support fundraising initiatives and organizational goals.

Marketing and Communications

  • Lead multi-channel marketing efforts, including digital, social media, email, print, and website content.
  • Develop messaging and storytelling that highlights program impact and donor support.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communications and outreach materials.
  • Explore and implement innovative technologies to enhance engagement and operations.

Donor Relations and Community Outreach

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage donor stewardship activities, acknowledgments, database integrity, and donor research.
  • Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Coordinate publications, presentations, speaking engagements, and legislative outreach efforts.
  • Support Board recruitment, education, and long-term resource development planning.

Leadership and Performance Management

  • Supervise and mentor development staff to promote a high-performing, mission-focused team.
  • Monitor budgets, fundraising outcomes, grants, and marketing performance using key metrics and data analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with professional fundraising ethics and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in fundraising, marketing, and revenue development in nonprofit and/or for-profit settings.
  • Demonstrated success with major gifts, annual giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, special events, and donor engagement.
  • Experience with grant writing, contract management, and community outreach.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, CRM systems, marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to accountability, measurable outcomes, and a results-driven culture.
