Salary up to $91,500, based on licensure and level of experience
Responsible for the supervision, coordination, planning, and operation of the agency’s Veteran Housing programs. Provides clinical and administrative oversight to the programs. Directly supervises the Program Coordinators and various program personnel. Leads the administrative operations of the programs.
- Manages the successful implementation and operation of program services including advocacy, housing, case management, clinical programming, and access to entitlement/benefits, employment and other benefits as may be required for homeless veterans’ recovery.
- Oversees referral, case assignments, service delivery, and discharge of veterans.
- Ensures adherence to human resource policies including the completion of performance appraisals and planning, assisting in employee performance improvement, and completing terminations when necessary.
- Interviews and recommends new hires and promotions, provides employee training and orientation, and promotes employee development.
- Provides support, supervision and direction to all veteran services employees.
- Ensures compliance with Agency fiscal procedures, accountability on expenditures, and operation within the established budget.
- Monitors and assures compliance with the Agency’s Performance Management Plan.
- Attends and participates in Agency committees and work groups as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with Agency quality assurance and corporate compliance standards, stakeholder regulatory, accreditation standards, and Community Hope’s policies. Participates in the organization’s Corporate Compliance Committee.
- Conducts random inspections of facilities and documentation.
- Ensures a safe and productive service environment for veterans and work environment for employees.
- Manages workflow and workload assignments and provides support, supervision and coaching to assigned program employees.
- Responsible for timely and accurate billing monthly.
- Develops and maintains relationships and affiliation agreements with other agencies, providers, funders, donors, and volunteers.
- Attends and participates in County, NJ State, and Federal planning committees and work groups.
- Assists Senior Leadership in developing new programs and services.
- Proposes and writes policies and procedures to improve service delivery and program operations.
- Participates in the Agency strategic planning process and the achievement of Agency and Program goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in non-profit or human services management, mental health, substance use, or a related discipline.
- 3 years administrative experience in a human service or related setting.
- Knowledge of veterans’ issues, mental illness, addiction, and PTSD.
- NJ Licensure in a mental health or substance use discipline required.
- Valid NJ Driver’s License with a good driving record.
